WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll join Bain’s Texas talent team and play a key leadership role supporting our Dallas Associate Consultant and Consultant populations. You’ll work closely with the Senior Director of Consulting Programs in Dallas, the Texas Talent Vice President, Program Management colleagues across Texas, and Partner people leaders throughout the region. Together, you’ll support staffing, professional development, performance management, capacity planning, and broader talent initiatives for the Dallas office. WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM As Director, Consulting Programs, you’ll provide leadership and support for our Associate Consultant and Consultant cohorts in Dallas. You’ll help individuals navigate staffing, career development, and performance while balancing client needs, office priorities, utilization, and individual development. You’ll also contribute to strategic initiatives and help strengthen integration across the Dallas office and broader Texas Program Management team. WHAT YOU’LL DO Your responsibilities will include: Partner with case-team leadership to understand assignment needs and staff consulting teams based on client, office, and individual priorities. Work with staffing and talent leadership to balance client service, utilization, retention, and professional development in staffing decisions. Identify team considerations and staffing-pool constraints and partner with the Senior Director of Consulting Programs on complex staffing decisions. Build one-on-one relationships with Associate Consultants and Consultants, providing career guidance, coaching, and mentoring. Meet regularly with individuals to understand their development goals, objectives, and interests. Monitor case-team assignments to help ensure consulting staff gain experience across a variety of projects. Manage professional development processes, including case-end and consensus reviews, feedback quality, performance ratings, and coaching support. Help coordinate each individual’s broader support network across the Texas office. Partner with Program Management colleagues, Class Champions, and local talent leadership to support class meetings, training, and relevant career-development programming. Lead the Dallas Associate Consultant promotion process in coordination with other Texas offices. Partner with HR on performance management, employee relations, employment law, risk, and policy matters. Coordinate transfer processes and leaves of absence and lead diligence for inbound transfer applications within the relevant cohorts. Contribute to operating-policy and process improvements affecting consulting staff. Partner with HR on processes including upward feedback, ratings, case-end and consensus reviews, and performance support. Maintain data integrity across relevant talent-management systems. Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement. Support consulting-staff capacity planning, including case activity, vacations, training conflicts, incoming and outgoing personnel, and upcoming case transitions. Serve as a point of contact for questions about upcoming availability and the potential impact of cases, backfills, or departures. Support long-term capacity analysis and periodic talent pyramid updates for office leadership.

Required qualifications and capabilities: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Liberal Arts, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least five years of progressive management experience. Knowledge of professional services and consulting operations. Strong client-service orientation, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle highly confidential
