Job Title - S&C GN Consultant & Analyst- Airlines Management Level: 09/11 Location: Bangalore/ Gurgaon/ Hyderabad/ Mumbai/ Chennai/ Kolkata Must have skills: Strong airline industry knowledge - revenue management, network planning, fleet & costs Analytical & financial modeling skills - route profitability, CASM/RASK, scenario analysis Structured problem-solving & strategy thinking Digital Transformation in Airlines Good to have skills: Data Analytics (SQL / Python / Power BI / Tableau) Airline IT Systems (PSS, DCS, RMS, OCC) Experience: Consultant: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience Analyst : Minimum 2 + years of relevant experience Educational Qualification: MBA from a recognized B-School Job Summary: As an Aviation Consultant , you will be responsible for supporting and delivering consulting engagements for airline clients across strategy, operations, commercial performance, and digital transformation initiatives. Your typical day will involve working closely with airline stakeholders, analyzing operational and commercial data, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance airline efficiency, profitability, and customer experience. Roles & Responsibilities: Deliver end-to-end consulting engagements across airline strategy, operations, commercial performance, and digital transformation initiatives. Support projects related to network planning, route profitability, fleet strategy, airline turnaround programs, and cost optimization . Analyze airline operational performance across flight operations, ground operations, OCC, crew management, and maintenance interfaces . Develop data-driven recommendations using structured problem-solving methodologies and airline industry best practices. Support airlines in their digital transformation journeys , including modernization of airline IT and operational ecosystems. Work on initiatives involving Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Revenue Management Systems (RMS), Departure Control Systems (DCS), and Airline Operations Systems . Assist clients with adoption of IATA NDC, ONE Order, and modern airline retailing frameworks . Leverage data analytics, automation, AI/ML use cases, and cloud-based solutions to enhance airline decision-making and operational efficiency. Conduct route development, demand forecasting, pricing, and revenue optimization analyses for airline clients. Analyze data from GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport) , MIDT, and internal airline systems to generate commercial insights. Support airline commercial teams on distribution strategy, ancillary revenue optimization, and loyalty program performance . Work directly with airline leadership, functional heads, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes. Act as a trusted advisor , translating complex operational and commercial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. Support proposal development, RFP responses, and business development initiatives across airline consulting engagements. Collaborate with global consulting teams on multi-country and multi-disciplinary airline engagements. Contribute to development of proprietary tools, frameworks, methodologies, and thought leadership in airline consulting. Mentor junior consultants and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance, and knowledge-driven culture . Professional & Technical Skills: Strong understanding of airline business models, economics, and operations . Experience in airline consulting, airline operations, network planning, or commercial analytics . Ability to translate complex airline data into clear, actionable business insights.\ Exposure to airline systems such as PSS, DCS, RMS, OCC , and operational data platforms. Knowledge of IATA standards , airline distribution, and modern retailing concepts. Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau). Understanding of airline digital transformation, automation, AI/ML use cases , or cloud-based
