Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance tasks to support daily manufacturing operations. This role focuses on repairs, and preventive maintenance while developing troubleshooting skills across equipment and systems. The starting pay for this position ranges from $25 to $30 an hour, depending on experience. A Day In The Life

Performing basic troubleshooting, repairs, and replacing defective parts as needed under supervision. Performing general and preventative maintenance on electrical fixtures, machines, equipment, hydraulic equipment, and building. Ensure that equipment safeguards and protective devices are operational at all times. Reading and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions. Requesting needed supplies for building and equipment maintenance. Using hand tools in repair activities. Assisting with installation and replacement of equipment and facility components. Maintaining accurate documentation and paperwork. Operating forklifts and lifts as required (or obtain certification). Maintaining a clean and organized work area using 6S/Lean principles. Supporting senior mechanics on repairs and projects. Assisting with production-related maintenance needs. Promoting teamwork and continuous improvement. Prioritizing workload and completing tasks in a timely manner Following all safety policies, wearing required PPE and reporting hazards or incidents immediately. Performing other duties as assigned.

1–3 years of industrial maintenance or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems. Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. Forklift certification or ability to obtain. High School Diploma or GED required. Open to overtime, including weekends as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (Full shift). Ability to frequently: reach, grasp, push, pull, twist and bend. Occasionally: kneel/squat. Ability to Grasp/Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 35 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to perform repetitive motions. Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet. Ability to work with electricity.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ability to work in an environment with airborne dust, noise, and temperature fluctuations.
