Key job responsibilities Rack Integration Development Engineers own the end-to-end rack interconnect product lifecycle, from concept and design through validation, manufacturing, operations, and end of life. This role is a technical leader who works in ambiguous situations where product requirements and specifications are not yet fully defined, driving rack-level integration solutions that meet AWS quality, cost, and performance standards at scale. • Own the full product lifecycle for rack interconnect systems, including defining requirements, designing solutions, validating performance, selecting manufacturing approaches, and driving production quality from concept through deprecation. • Lead rack integration test strategy and execution, covering optical interconnects, Active Electrical Cables (AEC), fiber testing, and loopback testing across rack configurations. Create test plans that thoroughly validate designs and efficiently address system integration challenges. • Develop and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks for rack-level validation, characterization, and regression testing. Drive continuous improvement to reduce failure rates and lifecycle degradation. • Manage strategic partnerships with manufacturing partners, defining and implementing engineering standards and quality frameworks. Serve as the key technical authority and escalation lead, driving manufacturing yield improvements and resolving complex technical challenges. • Own operational production performance of rack interconnect systems. Deliver continuous improvement to reduce failure rates and ensure system availability and uptime. • Create mechanisms to reduce repeat issues and optimize best practices across rack integration processes and methodologies.
