Technology Acquisition Specialist and Systems Engineer The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in modernizing Satellite Communication ( SATCOM ) systems? You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to transition emerging technologies into acquisition programs makes you an integral part of delivering enhanced solutions to the warfighter. As a Technology Acquisition Spe cia list on our team, you’ll work with DoW acquisition program managers and industry partners developing cutting edge technology to bring innovative technical solutions to existing DoW programs. You’ll also participate in the development of new technologies by supporting government oversight of Small Business Innovation Research ( SBIR ) . You'll use your technical acumen to understand existing program needs and how emerging technologies can meet those needs. You'll use written and verbal communication to convey those solutions and implementation strategies to stakeholders. Join us. The world can't wait. You Have: 2+ years of experience supporting or owning project management for U.S. military acquisitions, within organizations such as the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or U.S. Navy Knowledge of U.S. military acquisition processes, project management, and contract management for system acquisition Ability to manage multiple small projects, including interfacing with the performing company’s management personnel, managing contracts, schedules, and progress reports, and continuously performing analysis to predict the likelihood of success within schedule and budget Ability to comprehend SATCOM technical requirements and their impact on the warfighter’s mission Ability to communicate to stakeholders how SATCOM technical solutions meet warfighter needs Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Center s ( FFRDC ) , and asso cia te contractor teammates to achieve program goals Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian personnel within a DoW environment Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with DoW acquisitions or technology startups, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience with DoW acquisitions or technology startups Nice If You Have: Experience in the management of science and technology ( S & T ) projects such as SBIR grants, federally-funded laboratory or academic research, venture capital funded technology or product development, or similar research and development ( R & D ) activities Knowledge of DoW budget planning and finan cia l management processes Knowledge of military and commer cia l satellite-based communications systems, missions, and operations Knowledge of satellite navigation systems such as GPS, Galileo, or BeiDou Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills TS/SCI clearance PMP, INCOSE ASEP or CSEP, DoW Program Management Level-Practitioner or Advanced, or DoW Engineering and Technical Management Level-Practitioner Certification s Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required.
