We are seeking a Senior Project Manager o join our Newbuild team and play a pivotal role in delivering some of the world's most innovative and visually stunning cruise ships. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside leading architects, designers, shipyards, and technical experts to ensure that every guest-facing space exceeds expectations for quality, functionality, sustainability, and brand experience. Position Summary : Senior Project Manager is responsible of all technical issues and will overview and ensure that the ship will be ready at the delivery according to the contract specification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Project Director for the assigned new build project throughout its life cycle, including responsibility for selecting the project team, allocation of resources, formulating all milestones and critical paths. Participate in all aspects of new ship construction and design. Ensure that vessel is in compliance with all relevant regulations from various authorities. Support Project Director in the project and Site Office financial matters Prepares and submit for approval the Project Execution Plan that meets quality expectations and standards. Participate new ship specification and contract process Oversight of technical aspects of new ship construction and design. Oversee the technical design, approvals, Quay / Sea Trial tests supervision including inspection reports and follow-up of given remarks and Field Comments with Superintendents Overview and participate F.A.T. process. Overview Technical USPH and Environmental Compliance. Reports of various project to relevant organisations. Manage and coordinate technical meetings with Operations. Point of contact technical coordination between yard and other relevant partners. Technical responsibility for the ships to be delivered on time and on cost to the standards and quality in accordance with the contract specification. Ensure vessel is in compliance with all relevant regulations from various authorities. Maintaining good working relations with yard’s responsible people. Develop the tools for reliable progress follow up with the yards. Risk assessment and management. Familiarization of new technical team members with Superintendents. Coordinate modification within technical areas. Responsible of all project relevant energy and environmental projects. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the scope of the project.
Financial Responsibilities: Participates to work around the project cost structure, budget, and assurance of quality requirements and schedules are met. Participates to the Site Office budget and cost control. Qualifications & Experience: Experience from vessel operations/Chief Eng. /unlimited licence preferred. New building site surveys, design, testings, especially from the owner field of expertise. Experience in management of complicated projects in multi-cultural environment. Detailed understanding of the technical and regulatory requirements for works. Good understanding of shipbuilding processes and design. MSc. Naval architect / Engineering or equivalent with minimum in-depth experience in the passenger shipbuilding / maritime industry. Up-to-date machinery and technical qualification. Knowledge and Skills: Fluency in English. Computer literate. Deep knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, MARPOL and other marine standards. Strong
