Job Description **Responsibilities:** Under general supervision, performs routine testing and commissioning duties for water infrastructure systems and facilities. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet water system specifications and construction requirements. Applies sound professional judgment to technical details of water treatment, distribution, and related hydraulic system work. Independently conducts walk-downs and inspections of installed water infrastructure commodities, equipment, and systems to assure conformance with design specifications and regulatory standards. Performs quantity surveys and material tracking for water system components and reports findings to project management. Provides technical direction and guidance to junior technicians, drafters, and field personnel on water infrastructure testing protocols and commissioning procedures. Collaborates with project teams to verify system performance, water quality parameters, and operational readiness prior to facility handover. Qualifications **Qualifications:** **Required:** 5+ years of professional experience in water infrastructure testing, commissioning, or related water systems engineering Demonstrated background in water treatment, water distribution, or hydraulic systems design and operations Comprehensive knowledge of water quality testing protocols, regulatory standards, and commissioning procedures Proven ability to independently conduct inspections, walk-downs, and system evaluations against design specifications Strong technical proficiency in evaluating and applying standard engineering techniques and procedures for water infrastructure Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to document findings and provide technical guidance Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams in water infrastructure environments **Preferred:** Professional Engineering (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification Certification in water quality testing, hydraulic systems, or related water infrastructure disciplines Experience with SCADA systems, water treatment plant operations, or distribution network commissioning Proficiency with engineering software and data management systems Project management experience on water infrastructure capital projects Supervisory or mentoring experience with technical staff Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
