The Supt Maintenance is responsible for the planning, scheduling, facilitation of work and technical support . The Supt Maintenance is responsible for ensuring allocation of internal resources and acquisition of and management of additional resources to effectively resource load work plans. The Supt Maintenance will lead the outage management process and is the point of contact with Generation Maintenance Services for outage support. The Supt Maintenance is responsible for leading the implementation, assessment and continuous improvement of the Operating Model. The Supt Maintenance shares responsibility with the Supt Operations for ensuring identification and removal of barriers to efficient work completion. The Supt Maintenance has responsibility for technical oversight and management of engineers and technical employees . As a member of the station management team the Supt Maintenance provides leadership and accountability for station safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities • Ensures effective work management including planning, scheduling and execution of operations and maintenance activities within a station or region. • Ensures that all work at the station follows the operating model processes. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships between departments and internal customers • Counsels, trains, evaluates, develops, guides and assists assigned personnel relative to job performance and duties • Provide leadership and direction in continuous improvement initiatives related to the development and implementation of best practices, work process improvement, enhancement of maintenance procedures and outage maintenance processes. • Responsible for overall outage management • Acts as a liaison with business, charitable and political leaders, foundations, organizations and other external stakeholders of the station and corporation. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external suppliers and alliance partners. • Meet station environmental, health and safety objectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND 5 years minimum required related work experience In lieu of degree and experience listed above, Highschool/GED AND 13 years of minimum required related work experience Desired Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology • In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience Additional Preferred Qualifications Financial knowledge and skills including ability to analyze data Strong computer skills including ability to use various applications 5 years of previous supervisor experience Project management experience Previous power plant maintenance experience Effective communication skills, both oral and written Working knowledge of the overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes Demonstrated effective leadership skills Working Conditions Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility. Performs work in an office environment; required to observe work in all areas of generating facilities which are power plant, industrial environments operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which includes exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and humidity. May be required to climb ladders and stairs at various heights; enter vessels or equipment with limited access; walk, stoop, bend or
