This position will focus on developing Vehicle Management System (VMS) software to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The Vehicle Management System provides flight and subsystem control for the platform. Position
Responsibilities: Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for the VMS software Implement, integrate, and maintain C/C++ software components for real‑time embedded systems Create and execute software development plans, verification plans, and test procedures; document results to demonstrate requirements satisfaction Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for software domains and system‑specific issues Contribute to the development and improvement of software processes, tools, and metrics Track team progress and ensure product/process conformance to project plans and industry standards Train and mentor other engineers This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.
Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/ Experience): This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required) Bachelors Degree 5+ years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C, C++) 5+ years of experience with SDLC (Software/Systems Development Lifecycle) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience or 13+ years of related, relevant experience 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of experience designing and developing software for Real-Time or Non- Real-Time systems 3+ years of experience Safety Critical Software Development Experience Experience with LOR-1, LOR-2 or DAL-A, DAL-B software processes Active Secret Clearance Real-time embedded software experience Agile Software development Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516C, MIL-STD-882E, JSSSEH, DO-178C Python, C# and/or Assembly Language experience Experience with GreenHills Integrity or other Real Time Operating Systems Experience with fault tolerance, signal processing or control system design Experience with tools such as Jira, ClearCase and Git Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
