This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because: The Associate Designer, Runway Sweaters supports the Ready‑to‑Wear (RTW) sweater design team in the development of runway knitwear from initial concept through final product. The ideal candidate is creative, detail‑oriented, has technical knowledge of knitwear, and understands how to translate trend into brand‑right design. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a fast‑paced, collaborative design environment. A Day in the Life: Support the creation of seasonal design boards; update regularly as development evolves Update sketches and presentation boards throughout the design and development process Collect, track, and organize all style information to ensure accuracy and accessibility Assist in building and maintaining tech packs with clear construction details Execute CADs, seasonal decks, and colorways using Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Take detailed notes in design, sketch, and fit meetings and accurately record style updates Prepare samples, prototypes, and swatches for design reviews and cross‑functional meetings Conduct trend and market research; maintain inspiration archives, including vintage and knit references Manage seasonal line sheets, digital files, and PLM data entry Partner with cross‑functional teams (Product Development, Merchandising, Technical Design) as needed to ensure timely delivery of information and samples Assist with sample tracking and follow up on development needs with internal teams Qualifications: AA or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, or related field 2+ years of design experience in luxury RTW, contemporary, or knitwear High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) Strong hand sketching and digital sketching skills, especially for knitwear Understanding of knit structures, yarn qualities, and basic garment construction (nice to have: experience with stitch development or point‑of‑measure knowledge) Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and a
