Job Function: Communications & Corporate/External Affairs Job Sub Function: Multi-Family Communications & Corporate/External Affairs Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Singapore, Singapore Job Description: Job Description and Key Responsibilities The Senior Director, Portfolio Communications & Public Affairs – AP is accountable for leading integrated communications and public affairs strategy across Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s portfolio in the Asia Pacific region , ensuring strong alignment with global therapeutic area strategies while addressing the unique commercial, policy, and reputational dynamics of Asia Pacific markets. Reporting to the Vice President, AP Communications & Public Affairs , this role serves as the senior regional leader responsible for portfolio ‑ level communications and public affairs strategy , spanning Oncology, Immunology, Neuroscience/Cardiopulmonary and other priority assets, in close partnership with Global Therapeutic Area teams, Public Affairs, and the HUB team. This role ensures that AP operates as an effective bridge between global strategy and local execution , delivering consistent, high‑impact communications that support launches, growth brands, market shaping, and license‑to‑operate priorities across priority and cluster markets. The role sits on the Asia Pacific Strategy Organization (APSO) Leadership Team and is a critical senior leader on the Asia Pacific Communication & Public Affairs Leadership Team (AP CPA LT).

Key Responsibilities

AP Portfolio Communications Strategy Lead the AP portfolio communications strategy , translating global Therapeutic Area priorities into regionally relevant plans that drive commercial impact and reputational strength. Partner with Global TA communications leads to ensure co‑creation, alignment, and pull‑through of global strategies across AP markets. Oversee communications support for priority launches, growth brands, congresses, and major data readouts across the region, ensuring disciplined execution and timing aligned to market needs. Public Affairs Integration & Market Shaping Lead the integration of Public Affairs into AP portfolio strategies , ensuring consistent approaches to policy engagement, access, and market shaping across the region. Partner closely with the Global Public Affairs COE to ensure regional alignment on Value of Health, access, transparency, affordability, and policy priorities . Provide strategic counsel on regional policy, regulatory, and reputational risks , supporting proactive issue identification and mitigation across markets. Regional Leadership & Execution Serve as a senior communications advisor to APSO leadership , supporting decision‑making on external positioning, stakeholder engagement, and risk management. Lead and develop a high‑performing AP portfolio communication & public affairs team , fostering collaboration across Therapeutic Areas, Public Affairs, and markets. Ensure effective coordination across priority markets and cluster markets , applying the limited‑engagement model where appropriate while maintaining strategic consistency.
