Overview Celanese is seeking an Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance to join our team in Bishop, TX. Responsibilities
Install, Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and functionally check instruments, control systems, final control elements, control valves, switches, levels, temperatures and flows Install, test, troubleshoot and repair motor controls, PLC’s and relays Use test equipment, multimeters, loop calibrators, communicators, computers and hand tools Understanding of and ability to troubleshoot ladder logic Reads, interprets electrical drawings and P&ID’s Maintains drawings to reflect any modifications Works directly with vendors, operations, and reliability group to resolve problems Participate in site-wide Process Safety and Risk Reduction Create and update accurate reports using SAP Complete all written and electronic records, calibration sheets, work orders and document the work in progress as it is completed
Qualifications
Must have basic computer skills including MS office applications, Excel, Word and Outlook High School diploma/GED Detail oriented with problem solving skills, and able to organize and prioritize work assignments Knowledge of general and specific maintenance disciplines usually gained through a technical associate degree Able to work overtime, weekends and have scheduled on call duties Minimum 3 years of maintenance instrument, analyzer and/or electrical experience – preferred Instrumentation associate degree - preferred NCCER- Instrumentation certification - preferred
