At Micron Technology, our NVE Design Engineering Core team develops advanced NAND memory technologies that power innovative products used around the world. As part of this team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to design, analyze, and optimize memory circuits while gaining exposure to innovative semiconductor technologies and design methodologies. As a NAND Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of NAND flash memory products by supporting circuit design, simulation, verification, and architecture activities. This role provides an opportunity to build technical expertise in memory design while collaborating with multi-functional teams across firmware, validation, process integration, product engineering, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Support the development and analysis of NAND array waveforms, timing, and biasing conditions for memory read, program, and erase operations. Collaborate with firmware, analog design, and design validation teams to implement and verify memory circuit functionality. Assist with schematic design, circuit simulation, verification, layout planning, and integration of core circuits into full-chip designs. Perform data analysis to evaluate circuit performance, power consumption, area efficiency, and overall design optimization. Develop and maintain Python-based automation and apply AI Assisted tools and workflows to improve engineering efficiency, automate repetitive build tasks, and support efficient execution within EDA environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with graduation completed or expected within the past 12 months. Strong foundation in semiconductor devices, device physics, analog and digital circuit design, and electronic systems. Experience through coursework, research, internships, or projects involving circuit simulation, verification, or semiconductor design. Programming experience with Python; familiarity with scripting, automation, or software development concepts. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, strong analytical ability, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to NAND Flash memory architecture, memory systems, or semiconductor design through academic projects, internships, or research. Knowledge of circuit simulation tools such as HSPICE, FastSPICE, Verilog, or similar electronic design automation tools. Familiarity with Cadence design environments and physical verification concepts including LVS and DRC. Experience working in Linux or UNIX environments and using version control systems. Experience applying AI Assisted, AI-Enabled, or Artificial Intelligence tools to improve engineering workflows, automation, data analysis, or design productivity. The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $83,000.00 - $170,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
