Standard Job Description Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the Assembly area. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Interfacing with design, manufacturing, test, quality, and other internal/external stakeholders as the product(s) move from planning to release, completion, and distribution Using SAP, dPLM, and other applications & tools to analyze and develop sequence of operations, work-instructions, procedures, and production record systems including inspection and test Assisting in the identification, procurement, and implementation of equipment, machinery, tools/fixtures, and material handling systems Establishing methods for maximum utilization of the production facilities and personnel utilizing lean six sigma concepts to improve work-flow efficiencies throughout production and the facility Using 2D/3D modeling tools to assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of manufacturing cells & layouts throughout the facility Using business process applications and tools to analyze data to improve productivity including reducing cost, improving inventory accuracy and improving first pass quality to achieve on-time schedules Investigating issues, gathering data, and initiating corrective actions and then presenting solutions to teams and leaders within the organization Assisting in establishing hazard prevention measures including personnel training programs for all phases of production operations including safety and ergonomics Basic Qualifications B.S. in Engineering Discipline with 3+ years of experience M.S. in Engineering Discipline with 1+ year of experience Must be a U.S. Citizen Desired Skills Experience in manufacturing environment Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies Experience in Cable and Harness assemblies Experience in Electromechanical assemblies Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
