The Power Distribution units range from basic rackmount models in distributed IT networks to advanced models for monitoring and control in enterprise and colocation data centres. The PD division is looking to hire a Buyer/Planner to deploy and continuously improve purchasing, scheduling, and supply chain processes. Ideal candidates will be comfortable liaising with multiple suppliers (including inter-company), partners, contractors, and third-party logistic providers to ensure smooth flow of product throughout the end-to-end supply chain. This is a highly visible role within a fast-paced environment. What you’ll do: Maintain inventory balance between distribution centres and consignment locations Ensure On Time Delivery (OTD), Inventory days on hand (DOH) and cost out targets are achieved Support Product Managers in the demand planning process by providing baseline forecasts and updating revisions in demand planning tool/ERP systems such as SAP Alignment and execution of demand, supply, and inventory plans to support customer requirements Manager the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Plan (MRP) Interface and assist suppliers and contractors to mitigate risk, manage constraints, overcome issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Qualifications: A minimum of 4-6 years in Supply Chain and logistics/planning positions Knowledge of forecasting and stocking concepts/models and experience with SAP is highly desirable Tertiary qualifications and/or certifications in CPSM, MSIPS, CPM etc Demonstrated experience in business process improvement Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management What We Offer: High visibility and influence work closely with senior leaders as a trusted partner in a growing division.
