Senior Software Engineer Commercial Technologies

The Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership, solution architecture guidance, and hands-on software development expertise for complex enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud-native platforms. This role serves as the technical authority for assigned initiatives and partners closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Delivery teams to ensure successful execution of strategic business objectives. Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions. Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability. Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, design patterns, and development best practices across teams. Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide teams through implementation strategies. Lead technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews for all initiatives. Drive design decisions that balance business objectives, technical debt, operational supportability, performance, cost, and risk. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and managed service partners. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges, production incidents, and architecture-related decisions. Lead root cause analysis efforts and ensure preventive measures are implemented to improve system stability and reliability. Review application designs, code, infrastructure components, and deployment strategies to ensure quality and compliance with organizational standards. Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and observability. Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, and Platform Engineering teams to implement secure and compliant solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that improve business outcomes and developer productivity. Design and implement integration solutions across internal and external platforms using APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration platforms. Provide end-to-end technical oversight across application, integration, data, security, infrastructure, and operational domains. Establish technical roadmaps and identify opportunities for modernization, automation, and continuous improvement. Ensure applications meet operational excellence requirements including monitoring, alerting, HA/DR, performance, and supportability. Influence technical strategy and engineering direction across multiple products and teams. Lead technical discussions with business stakeholders, vendors, architects, and leadership teams.
