We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Maintenance Technician to support 2nd shift from the hours of 3:00pm to 11:30pm ET to provide leadership for safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance support by prioritizing work, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and mentoring technicians. What You Will Do
Act as the senior maintenance presence on the assigned shift, providing technical leadership and support to the maintenance team with advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis of complex equipment issues. Prioritize and assign maintenance work based on production needs, equipment criticality, and urgency. Coordinate emergency repairs and troubleshooting activities to minimize equipment downtime and production disruptions. Identify equipment reliability concerns and recurring failures and escalate issues requiring additional technical or management support. Mentor, coach, and support the onboarding, training, and development of maintenance technicians to strengthen technical capabilities and improve overall team effectiveness. Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO), safety procedures, and safe work practices during all maintenance activities. Communicate equipment status, major issues, downtime, and shift activities to maintenance and site management. Collaborate with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve equipment issues and improve equipment reliability and performance. Ensure preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are completed on schedule and meet required quality standards.
Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing of mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience serving as a lead, senior technician or equivalent technical leadership capacity.
