Role
Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Technical Trades Instructor to help shape the careers of entry-level employees entering the Electric Vehicle (EV) technician workforce. In this role, you will deliver hands-on training, guide learners through complex technical concepts, and ensure they acquire the essential skills needed for success. Working closely with program managers and partner colleges, you will provide a comprehensive, engaging, and tailored learning experience for new employees in the technical field.
Responsibilities
Cultivate strong partnerships with collaborating colleges for the Rivian Technical Trades program. Coordinate community outreach events to enhance recruitment opportunities. Contribute to the development of service programming content for the program curriculum. Collaborate with curriculum designers to iterate and improve course content based on learner outcomes. Facilitate training in soft skills, empathy, de-escalation tactics, and customer service for Technical Trades students. Engage with service stakeholders and leadership to gather feedback and strengthen program alignment. Support recruitment efforts, including interview events, application reviews, and student onboarding. Optimize onboarding processes and procedures in collaboration with partnering institutions. Represent the Rivian Technical Trades program at workshops and speaking events to promote student engagement. Stay current on EV technology advancements and integrate updates into curriculum delivery. Coordinate hands-on lab sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance of training equipment and tools.
Qualifications
Experience with automotive training programs. A university degree or certificate in Automotive Technology is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital training platforms Prior teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience in a technical or trades environment Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment. Thrives when working independently and contributing strongly as a member of a high-performing team. Strong ability to collaborate and serve as a partner/consultant to Service Leadership and partnering Colleges. Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills are required. Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality with a passion for motivating others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated confidence and professionalism. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $131,800 to $164,700 for Texas based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
