Operational Leadership Lead day-to-day facilities operations including HVAC, building management systems, utilities, cleanrooms, mechanical and electrical systems, and critical infrastructure. Ensure all systems maintain pharmaceutical-grade environmental conditions and comply with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement operational strategies that optimize performance, minimize downtime, and support production continuity. Compliance and Quality Maintain strict compliance with FDA, EMA, and other relevant pharmaceutical regulatory standards including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements. Oversee documentation, validation protocols, and change control processes for all facility modifications. Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure facilities meet validation and qualification requirements.

Management Lead and develop a multidisciplinary facilities team including engineers, technicians, and coordinators. Manage shift patterns to ensure 24/7 operational coverage where required. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify training needs to build team capabilities. Preventive and Reactive Maintenance Oversee comprehensive planned preventive maintenance programs for all critical systems. Manage reactive maintenance response to minimize production impact. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely, compliant service delivery. Budget and Financial Management Develop and manage operational budgets, tracking expenditure against forecast. Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining compliance and service quality. Oversee procurement activities for supplies, services, and equipment. Health, Safety, and Environment Champion health and safety culture across the facilities team. Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work. Monitor environmental performance including energy consumption, waste management, and sustainability initiatives. Stakeholder Management Build strong relationships with production leadership, quality teams, engineering, and corporate facilities functions. Communicate operational status, planned activities, and incident responses effectively. Participate in site leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
