We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our ever evolving Applications System Development team within Global Payments Europe and help shape the future of global commerce. What you’ll own Design, deploy , and maintain scalable , resilient AWS platforms with an automation-first mindset . Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform , ensuring secure , reliable , and reusable Infrastructure as Code . Deploy and operate containerized applications on Amazon EKS ( Kubernetes ) , driving high availability , scalability , and performance . Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines , while embedding DevSecOps practices such as automated security scanning , IAM governance , and secrets management. Enhance platform reliability through monitoring, logging , alerting , troubleshooting , performance optimization , and cloud cost management. What you’ll bring Strong hands -on experience across core AWS services , including EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and SQS/SNS. Proven expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code , including modular architectures , workspace management, custom providers , and CI/CD integration . Practical experience operating Kubernetes (EKS) environments , including Helm , ingress controllers , node groups , RBAC, and application scaling strategies . Advanced knowledge of CI/CD and automation , with experience building pipelines in GitLab CI, GitHub Actions , or AWS CodePipeline , leveraging automated testing and deployment methods such as Blue/Green and Canary releases . Strong scripting and systems administration skills , with proficiency in Python, Go , or Bash and solid experience managing Linux environments (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL). Expertise in configuration management, networking , security , and observability , including Ansible , Route 53, ALB/NLB, Security Groups , CloudWatch , Prometheus , Grafana , and ELK, enabling secure , reliable , and data- driven operations . It’s a bonus if you have AWS Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional . GitOps Adoption: Experience with ArgoCD for declarative continuous delivery to Kubernetes. Advanced Networking: Experience with Istio service mesh. SRE Principles: Deep understanding of Error Budgets, SLIs/SLOs, and toil reduction.
