Job Title: Banking Operations Business Analyst Location: CityScape What you'll do: As a Banking Operations Business Analyst you'll support Enterprise initiatives with the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products and processes within the Payment and Digital space and act as a Functional SME, having a clear understanding of the business needs, processes, change impact, and end user experience. Your work will include complex, high-risk, and regulatory-driven Banking Operations Support processes such as informational tax reporting, FATCA, NRA recertification, tax withholding, B-Notice and TIN-related activities, IOLTA administration, inactive and dormant accounts, special referrals, and unclaimed property. You'll be heavily involved in the testing of new products, enhancements, and changes, engaging with Quality Assurance and subject matter expert teams, helping to drive the conversations and observations on the quality of work and the overall success of our testing. You'll partner closely with a cross organizational team to include the operations and product subject matter experts, business leadership, project management, IT partners and vendor partners. You'll also support procedure modernization, control and audit readiness, operational reporting, process improvement, automation, cross-training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer across Banking Operations Support. ● Identify, develop, and write business unit requirements to support the business unit’s project and define system and functional requirements, including requirements arising from regulatory, policy, audit, or operational changes. ● Facilitate meetings designed to produce the results needed; work closely with team members and independently to meet our plan. ● Support the project throughout the development and testing efforts and directly support and lead testing, joining the SME business experts and project team; document test results, defects, exceptions, readiness, and post-implementation validation. ● Lead smaller scale business unit efforts (outside of EPMO ran projects) as the functional project lead and prepare summary communications at regular intervals on the project’s status. Participate in process improvement initiatives and help drive automation projects which are typically smaller in scale with an IT lead. ● Ensure that the teams understand the objectives and that the testing results are either in line with expectations and when they are not; help drive the conversation of what changes are needed and the priority of those changes. ● Analyze assigned Banking Operations Support processes, data, reconciliations, controls, exceptions, and trends; identify gaps or risks, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend practical corrective actions or scalable improvements. ● Support specialized deposit operations work across informational tax reporting, FATCA, NRA, withholding, B-Notices, TIN matching, IOLTA, inactive and dormant accounts, special referrals, and unclaimed property, including data validation, exception resolution, control evidence, filing or remittance readiness, and appropriate escalation. ● Develop and maintain procedures, workflows, process maps, control narratives, job aids, quality standards, evidence requirements, and management reporting for approval; support audit, examination, issue-remediation, and records-retention activities. ● Coordinate with Corporate Tax, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Audit, Accounting, Technology, business lines, and vendors to resolve dependencies, support implementation, and follow assigned work through completion.
