About this role
The GSAM Account Plan Manager is a critical operational function of the Global Strategic Account Management organization. The role owns the coordination, governance, data quality, and continuous improvement of strategic account planning, ensuring GSAMs and leadership have accurate, consistent, and decision-ready information to drive profitable growth and customer outcomes. This role serves as the central interface across GSAMs, DC Operations, Sales Operations, Finance, Product Management, regional teams, and executive stakeholders. It converts complex account, operational, and commercial inputs into clear account plans, executive briefing packages, quarterly reviews, and annual planning outputs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Plan Management Own the administration, maintenance, governance, and version control of all GSAM account plans. Establish and maintain standardized account planning templates, data definitions, quality standards, and reporting requirements. Coordinate account-plan inputs across lines of business, regions, and functions to ensure plans are complete, current, and aligned with strategic priorities. Track actions, milestones, decisions, risks, and commitments arising from account planning and business reviews. Support GSAMs in translating customer priorities and account data into concise growth strategies, executive narratives, and actionable plans. 2. Data Management, Coordination & Insights Serve as the primary data steward for strategic account information across the GSAM organization. Coordinate significant volumes of customer, opportunity, financial, operational, market-share, pipeline, relationship, and performance data from multiple sources. Validate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness before inclusion in leadership materials. Maintain account intelligence, customer profiles, stakeholder maps, organizational charts, resource maps, and key account assumptions. Develop account-level dashboards, scorecards, trackers, and roll-up views that highlight performance, whitespace, risks, and required actions. Identify data gaps and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate functional owners. 3. DC Operations Account Data Interface Act as the primary interface for DC Operations account-data preparation and coordination. Coordinate the collection and consolidation of delivery performance, quality, capacity, schedule, escalation, service, and customer scorecard inputs. Ensure operational information is represented accurately and consistently in account plans, QBRs, executive briefings, and customer review packages. Partner with regional and functional teams to resolve conflicting inputs and secure timely updates. Create clear visibility to operational risks, customer impacts, mitigation actions, owners, and decision requirements. 4. Executive Briefing Documents & Packages Lead the development and coordination of executive briefing documents for customer meetings, executive business reviews, site visits, leadership engagements, and strategic reviews. Create concise executive summaries covering account performance, financial and portfolio position, customer priorities, growth opportunities, operational risks, relationship status, and required outcomes. Coordinate, challenge, and integrate inputs from GSAMs, Operations, Finance, Product teams, regional leadership, and other contributors. Maintain a consistent executive-ready standard for message quality, data integrity, formatting, and document control. Manage briefing timelines, review cycles, approvals, and final package readiness. 5. Quarterly & Annual Account Planning Support and coordinate quarterly account reviews, annual account planning, leadership reviews, and related planning workshops. Prepare planning calendars, templates, pre-work, data packs, agendas, consolidated outputs, and action logs. Track account performance against annual objectives, growth priorities, strategic initiatives, and customer commitments.
