 Responsibilities: Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, provide appointment instructions, and support timely access to care. Monitor schedules, identify and resolve scheduling issues, place reminder calls, and assist with rescheduling missed appointments. Verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate records. Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and providers by answering calls, responding to inquiries, and routing information appropriately. Manage referrals in Epic, initiate approved referral processes, and assist patients with referral-related questions. Support Advanced Access scheduling by partnering with providers and clinical teams to optimize patient access and same-day appointment availability. Maintain HIPAA compliance when handling patient information and documentation. Address patient concerns professionally, document feedback, and work toward timely resolution. Follow EMTALA guidelines when handling urgent or special-call situations. Participate in team and departmental meetings to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 9 months of experience in an office, healthcare, customer service, or related environment. Ability to successfully complete Epic Scheduling competency requirements within 90 days of hire.

One or more years of experience in a healthcare provider office, call center, or similar customer-focused environment. Experience managing appointments, patient scheduling, referrals, and customer inquiries in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills with a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
