Position

Overview: As an Electrical Engineer – Level 2 or 3 you will support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Hardware Engineering team's design efforts working within an Agile environment. Your core tasks will entail developing and maintaining Electrical drawings for multiple Ground Systems (GS) IPT hardware systems and their interfaces with facilities. Under the direction of your program leadership, responsibilities include developing rack/system level drawings, maintaining drawings PLM system. Accountability and active participation in team meetings and internal/external demos, and documenting progress on team dashboards is expected. Essential Functions:   Under the direction of your program leadership, responsibilities include performing analyses IAW industry and military standards. Develop design drawings, maintaining drawings, evaluating hardware design efforts, scheduling, and planning required tasks. Accountability and active participation in team meetings and internal/external demos, and documenting progress on team dashboards is expected. Generate engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test reports. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a Electrical Engineer – Level 2 or a Principal Electrical Engineer – Level 3.

Basic Qualifications

(Electrical Engineer – Level 2 or 3): Electrical Engineer – Level 2:   Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 - 2 years of related experience. Principal Electrical Engineer – Level 3:   Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience; or a PhD and 1 year of related work experience. Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time. Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start. Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full-time. Ability to communicate data in a clear and concise manner. 2 years of recent professional experience using a CAD Package such as Visio, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO, Siemens Capital Suites (Logic/Harness), or NX to develop technical drawings Experience in two or more of the following areas:
