Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biotech Portfolio Lead, Senior Director to join our dynamic team. As a Biotech Portfolio Lead you will have the unique opportunity to provide strategic direction across all therapeutic areas and other divisions within our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a customized biotech delivery model that is most effective for our portfolio of clients. Candidates must reside in the East Coast Region Responsibilities: Partner globally with other groups to develop new business and deliver existing business, achieving overall financial goals and ensuring timely execution of clinical trials and other services. Develop excellent working relationships with internal colleagues and leaders responsible for project delivery, improving information exchange and project understanding. Provide ongoing consultancy, coaching, and feedback to improve the overall understanding of clients and the ability to deliver to their expectations. Assist in business development activities, representing PPD Biotech team . at bid defenses and contributing to the advancement of our vision. Collaborate with the Biotech leadership team and other senior colleagues to oversee operational performance, resourcing, financial health/strategy, and business planning and execution. Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing support and addressing operational issues. Represent Operations at the governance level and contribute to the compilation of goals and business plan objectives for strategic partnerships.
Requirements
Equivalent experience and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification are accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. 15+ years of previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. I n some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role. Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze financial data and make informed decisions. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships in a matrix organization. Proficiency in project management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management. Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and directives. Outstanding marketing and negotiation skills. Effective in working across geographies and cultures. Proficiency in enhancing processes and developing effective plans.
