Department/Unit: Outpatient PM&R Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $77,075.00 - $119,466.00 Description: AMC Outpatient Therapy is expanding locations and we are looking for a motivated and collaborative Physical Therapist to grow its team! SUMMARY: Provide services that restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injury or disease. Restore, maintain, and promote overall fitness and health.

Minimum of a bachelors degree,  (master’s or doctoral degree preferred) from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Must hold a current New York State registration to practice in the State of New York and current BLS certification. ​ EXPERIENCE: One (1) year clinical experience preferred in Outpatient Physical Therapy setting, but not required. Specialty or Board Certifications in varied Physical Therapy areas preferred but not required. New graduates welcome! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following: Competent in the performance of essential skills for any physical therapist including those addressing all systems (i.e., musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, integumentary, GI, and GU) and the continuum of patient/client care throughout the lifespan, as defined in department policies and procedures manual. Examine patients’ medical histories and can test and measure the patients’ strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor function. Apply diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Interpret, plans, establish and implement treatments. Advise, consult, and teach appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and others. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Develop plans describing a treatment strategy, its purpose, and its anticipated outcome. Develop and analyze reports and data necessary for unit operations.
