GOPS-OFM -Spares Planning - NPI The NPI (New Product Introduction) Planner is responsible for leading product deployment and NPI spares planning across global operations. This role ensures that First in Fab (FIF), First in Region (FIR), and Restricted Release (RR) deployments are successfully executed and aligned with customer installation timelines. The NPI Planner is accountable for reviewing and validating the Spare Parts Index (SPI) for new product introductions, managing spares extensions, and driving line fill execution to ensure end-to-end material readiness. Serving as the central point of contact for deployment execution and parts planning, the role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination, risk mitigation, and successful product launches. 1. NPI Deployment & Service Readiness • Lead NPI spares planning activities for assigned product portfolios and deployments. • Serve as the primary planning focal point for Product Groups, Program Managers, and Supply Chain stakeholders. • Execute BOM readiness reviews, serviceability assessments, and SPI determination with minimal supervision. • Drive deployment readiness by ensuring sourcing, part setup, line fill, and inventory plans are established prior to launch. • Identify and mitigate risks related to readiness, supply availability, and deployment execution. ________________________________________ 2. Inventory Planning & Optimization • Develop inventory and replenishment strategies that balance service levels, working capital, and supply risk. • Govern planning parameters including CTSL, EOQ, MOQ, lead times, safety stock, and reorder policies. • Lead inventory health reviews and corrective actions for excess, shortages, and stocking imbalances. • Drive inventory optimization initiatives focused on working capital improvement and obsolescence reduction. ________________________________________ 3. Availability & Supply Management • Own service readiness and availability performance for assigned NPI portfolios. • Monitor key performance metrics including OTD, OTC, Line Fill, Backorders, and Service Readiness. • Identify demand-supply gaps and lead mitigation plans across Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Regional Planning teams. • Drive allocation and recovery actions during constrained supply situations. • Ensure readiness to support product ramps and customer demand requirements. ________________________________________ 4. Planning Excellence & Problem Resolution • Lead execution of planning activities across SPM, MRP, and planning systems. • Resolve complex planning exceptions and supply disruptions through structured RCCA and 8D methodologies. • Implement preventive controls, governance mechanisms, and standard work to improve planning stability. • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes through analytics, automation, and best-practice adoption. • Mentor and develop planners to enhance capability and organizational effectiveness. ________________________________________ 5. Stakeholder Leadership & Governance • Lead cross-functional engagement with Product Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Service, and Regional Planning teams. • Influence business decisions through effective risk assessment, data analysis, and planning recommendations. • Communicate supply risks, recovery actions, and business impacts to leadership and stakeholders. • Manage escalations with a structured, fact-based, and customer-focused approach. ________________________________________ What you’ll do
Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. Who we’re looking
