Senior Test Automation Mechanical Engineer (Onsite)

Develop test hardware and software, from requirements definition through build and integration processes, followed by deployment to manufacturing or customer facilities. Design, support and integration skill sets may include multiple disciplines in communications, RF, analog, digital, firmware, as well as systems integration. In depth knowledge of computer architecture, COTs equipment, interconnects/interfaces and standard communication protocols Mechanical Engineering skill-set desirable with experience in Cadence and/or AutoCAD design capture tooling Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills to enable effective personnel interaction and collaboration with a multi-discipline team. Example of this would be define and lead a Preliminary and Detailed Design Review Prepare and clearly present your work product at project status meetings Understand and responsibility to meet established project budget, schedule, and performance commitments Work with mechanical engineering to design and develop test adapter and fixturing design activities. AutoCAD knowledge a plus Ability to function autonomously with limited supervision, as an individual contributor, within a multi-functional team environment Support Manufacturing operations, including on-site troubleshooting and debugging, both independently and in collaboration with production and design engineering teams What You Will Learn Test Engineering Discipline Enhance knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Tools.

You Must Have  Ability to obtain and maintain Secret U.S. government issued security clearance ​ Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering design and development, preferably related to Test equipment development efforts Experience working in the engineering laboratory and transitioning automated solutions to production environments, delivering hardware and software deliverables providing on-site training to final operators Qualifications We Prefer ​ Strong interpersonal and communication skills Decision-making and problem-solving skills, working individual tasks as well as within a team environment Experience with National Instruments’ software suite, including TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW Hardware station design efforts utilizing rack instrumentation, PXIe/MXI, VME application development Experience with Digital, RF, and/or Power
