Overview
The Salesforce Tech Lead will be responsible for the overall technical direction, architecture, design, implementation, and support of Salesforce technology solutions within Lennar Corporation. As a member of the Salesforce Engineering team, the Salesforce Tech Lead will own the technical integrity of the platform across multiple workstreams — ensuring solutions accurately meet the defined expectations of the business, that proper functional and performance testing is completed, and that security requirements are designed in from the start. The Tech Lead sets and enforces development standards, leads design and code reviews, and is accountable for identifying technical design risks and driving mitigating approaches. The Tech Lead will lead and mentor a team of senior and junior developers, balancing hands-on delivery with technical leadership. The Tech Lead will collaborate closely with Product Owners and Architects to translate business requirements into scalable solutions, participate in Sprint Ceremonies and Demos, own release management and CI/CD practices, and serve as the final escalation point for Tier 3 support. Your Responsibilities on the Team Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce platform solutions using best practices through custom and declarative development Own technical design; lead technical design sessions, document technical solutions aligned with business objectives, and identify gaps between current and desired end states Define, publish, and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and reusable frameworks across the Salesforce Engineering team Lead code and design reviews; approve solutions prior to promotion and hold the team accountable to quality gates Partner with Architects on integration architecture, data model design, org strategy, and platform scalability Break down epics into technical tasks; provide estimates, sequence work, and manage technical delivery across a sprint team Own release and environment strategy, including sandbox management, branching strategy, deployments, and CI/CD pipeline health Lead the evaluation, design, and delivery of AI-enabled capabilities on the Salesforce platform and define the technical patterns the team uses to build them Establish standards for responsible AI use, including data grounding, prompt versioning, human-in-the-loop review, hallucination mitigation, and adherence to the Einstein Trust Layer and Lennar's data governance policies Partner with Product Owners to identify where AI genuinely improves a business process versus where deterministic automation is the better answer Proactively drive continuous improvement on application design, technical debt reduction, support, and practice development Oversee unit, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing; ensure solutions meet quality standards before release Define test strategies, design automation frameworks, and drive code coverage and automation metrics for the team Communicate risks to engineering staff through training and technical demonstration of vulnerabilities and secure design patterns Provide hands-on expert-level assistance on complex technical issues, bug fixes, enhancements, and escalated troubleshooting Mentor senior and junior developers; lead knowledge-sharing
