About this role
The group you’ll be a part of
In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. What you’ll do
In this role you will coordinate the accurate, efficient movement of semiconductor samples through internal microscopy labs and approved external providers. This on-site role combines order review, queue management, material tracking, laboratory logistics, customer support, and selected sample-preparation activities while protecting customer material and intellectual property.
Review microscopy orders, samples, carriers, labels, RFID tags, paperwork, requested services, and digital records for completeness, accuracy, and correct routing. Manage queue status and chain-of-custody records; use RFID, locker, and tracking systems to document sample location and movement. Resolve incomplete, duplicate, delayed, misrouted, missing, or non-actionable work by coordinating with submitters, technical teams, logistics providers, and partner laboratories. Coordinate shipments and returns among Lam sites and external laboratories, including packaging, labeling, barcodes, courier staging, receiving, and supporting documentation. Perform trained sample-support activities, including ALD and LSOC coating, sample sorting, inventory control, and safe handling of coupons, chips, carriers, and related materials. Communicate order status and urgent issues clearly, escalating material, process, or data discrepancies when appropriate. Follow safety, quality, material-control, and customer IP requirements; maintain SOPs, checklists, and training materials and support continuous improvement. Who we’re looking for
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a laboratory, semiconductor, manufacturing, logistics, quality, production-control, customer-service, or similar detail-sensitive environment. Strong communication, organization, time-management, and follow-through skills, with the ability to review detailed information and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based tracking systems; ability to work independently andcollaboratively on-site. Ability to work the assigned shift and safely lift or move approximately 25 pounds. Success requires attention to detail, reliability, sound judgment, professional communication, and a collaborative customer-service mindset. Work is performed in an active semiconductor laboratory and logistics environment and may involve standing, walking, bending, reaching, handling small or high-value samples, and using computers and barcode equipment Preferred qualifications
Experience in a semiconductor cleanroom, metrology, microscopy, application lab, or high-tech manufacturing environment. Experience with shipments, couriers, receiving, external laboratory services, RFID, inventory, asset tracking, LIMS, MES, or queue systems. Familiarity with semiconductor coupons, wafers, chips, carriers, coating, or sample-preparation processes. Experience creating SOPs, training materials, checklists, or controlled documentation.
