The Opportunity
Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors. This is a certifying role that requires a Part 66 License in B1.3 (Turbine Rotorcraft). The ability to work as part of a team, but also independently is essential. You are expected to work to high standards to ensure the continued safe operation of aircraft Although based at Oxford, this is principally a line role that requires the engineer to have a high degree of mobility. A van will be supplied and deployment to customer locations to carry out line maintenance and defect rectification will be a daily requirement when on shift. A good working knowledge of UK CAA regulations most importantly Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements is essential. Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability. Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work. Also required to assist in day to day running of Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities. Knowledge and Skills Essential Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment. Ability to fault find and troubleshoot independently or as part of a team Understanding of Airbus Helicopters products and documentation Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Flexible to the requirements of the company and needs of the customer Desirable Exposure to multiple operational environments Education, Qualifications or Training Essential Part 66 B1.3 Licence Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters products Clean UK driving licence Desirable Type ratings on AS350,EC130,EC135,H135,EC145,H145,H160.
