Position
Description: Receives, stores, and distributes products within establishment by performing the following duties. This work is done under moderate to strong supervision. Responsibilities: · Reads order to determine items to be moved, gathered and distributed. · Assist in training of trainees and temporaries on how to perform all their duties safely. · Performs operator maintenance as necessary. · Prepare and match appropriate records and/or documents. · Assists in accounting for all materials received accurately with proper documentation (packing slips, return authorizations, MSDS) · Assist/perform the duty of filling outbound shipments accurately again with proper documentation (stenciling, staging). · Maintain upkeep on warehouse equipment. · Conveys material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. · Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size or product code. · Marks products with identifying information. · Backfills for Warehouse Lead (s) responsible for the overall direction, coordination, staffing and evaluation of the shipping warehouse department, working closely with the Shipping Coordinator as well as other work functions. Other duties could include cycle counting, computer entry of records, coordination of dispositions, and assisting in coordination of yearly physical inventory.
