Job Description

Product Managers at U.S. Bank are customer obsessed in driving product visioning, planning and development to deliver on our human + digital product strategy and staying one step ahead of evolving economic, technological, and customer needs.   The Director, Portfolio Growth Initiatives is responsible for leading the commercialization of priority Business Banking growth initiatives. This role serves as the bridge between strategy and ongoing business ownership, translating approved opportunities into scalable operating models, go-to-market plans, and measurable business outcomes. Working across business, product, channel, operations, technology, risk, and support teams, this leader drives execution, adoption, and scaling of growth initiatives from approval through successful transition to long-term ownership.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead commercialization of assigned growth opportunities from approval through launch, adoption, scaling, and transition to long-term ownership. Develop commercialization plans, operating models, and execution approaches that support successful market adoption and business outcomes. Drive alignment across business, product, channel, operations, technology, risk, and support teams to achieve initiative objectives. Establish success measures, monitor performance, and recommend actions to maximize growth, adoption, and business value. Identify and resolve risks, barriers, and dependencies that could impact commercialization success. Provide strategic recommendations, executive communications, and decision support to initiative sponsors and senior leadership. Support transition of mature initiatives to permanent business owners by establishing governance, processes, performance measures, and operational readiness.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Eight or more years of experience leading strategic initiatives in commercialization, business transformation, product management, business development, consulting, program leadership, or related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering business outcomes. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive execution in a matrixed environment. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in financial services, including business banking, payments, deposits, lending, treasury management, or merchant services. Experience developing executive presentations, business cases, recommendations, and decision support materials for senior leaders. Experience taking new products, capabilities, or growth initiatives from concept and approval through launch, adoption, and operationalization Expertise on the critical interdependencies among product model system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results using business metrics, key performance indicators, design systems, service blueprints, and reusability. Ability to anticipate shifting market priorities, internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value. Strong customer centricity to implement strategies and techniques used to ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization's products and services at every touch point.
