Title: E&I First Line Leader- Finished Products Pay Rate : $89,000-$118,600 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s short –term incentive plan. Category/Shift : Salaried Full-Time Physical Location : 3737 Hwy 3 Redwood, MS 39156 The Instrument/Electrical (IE) Supervisor for Finished Products is responsible for leading approximately twelve (12) electrical team members, including (4) IE shift operators, J3 Instrument Electricians, J1 Electricians, and Electrical Associates. This position is responsible for team safety, safe work planning, scheduling the team member’s work assignments on a daily basis, taking into account job priorities and timeline and each team member’s skill level and areas of development. The IE Supervisor is also responsible for the training and development of each member of his/her team, supporting the advancement of the team member’s through the appropriate curriculum and corresponding certification process. The IE Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work necessary to maintain a variety of control systems and electrical equipment, including AC, DC and synchronous motors, VFDs, Distributed Controls Systems, PLCs, control valves, and process measurement instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic controls in the Finished Products area. The Finished Products IE Supervisor is part of the leadership team in the Maintenance & Engineering department, and will report directly to the Area Maintenance Manager. The Job You Will Perform: Must ensure their team works safely in an industrial environment, and consistently demonstrates model safety behavior and is a safety leader Must have knowledge of principles underlying the construction and use of control instrumentation, construction and use of low voltage and medium voltage AC motor starters, and the construction and use of Programmable Logic Controllers, Analog and digital system fault diagnostic techniques and procedures Supervise the inspection, testing, adjustments, calibrations, and servicing activities/repair necessary to assure the proper operation of process instrumentation and electrical control systems. Minimize mill dependence on outside contractors for electrical maintenance needs Maximize team impact by focusing on precision work and avoid rework Coach and manage employees to be in complete support/compliance with Reliability efforts, through adherence to Work Management Systems, Precision Maintenance practices & standards, Root Cause Analysis & Equipment Condition & Monitoring practices Communicate and implement fundamental maintenance standards and expectations, audit frequently for sustainability and consistency, and give constructive feedback and correct behaviors when needed Establish efficiency benchmarks for repair downtime Actively participate in the MWS process and interface with Finished Products Production Management and Area Maintenance Manager. Involved in all daily, weekly & outage planning and scheduling Hold meaningful one-to-one discussions with members of the Finished Products Instrument Electrical team and create active development plans with each team member; set clear expectations for both team and individuals and motivate team members to strive for success The Skills You Will Bring: 8 years of electrical and instrumentation experience or an associate’s degree in a related discipline. At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance leadership role is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience in supervising and performing work related to the installation, maintenance, emergency repair, inspection, and testing of a variety of control systems and electrical equipment (e.g. AC, DC and synchronous motor control, Distributed Control Systems, PLCs, control
