Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. Day to Day Responsibility
• Develop and execute quality planning, quality control, and continuous improvement programs for optical communication products, including optical modules, AOC, DAC, PLC, WDM, connectors, patch cords, and related products. • Lead the analysis, disposition, and follow-up of quality abnormalities during production, and drive timely problem resolution and closure. • Oversee quality issue analysis for incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods, and coordinate cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. • Participate in quality reviews during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase and establish appropriate quality control plans. • Lead customer complaint handling, return material authorization (RMA) analysis, and resolution of major quality issues to improve customer satisfaction. • Apply quality tools and methodologies such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC, FMEA, MSA, APQP, and other structured problem-solving techniques to drive improvement. • Establish, maintain, and optimize inspection standards and quality documentation, including SOPs, SIPs, control plans, and related quality procedures. • Support supplier quality management and incoming quality improvement to enhance the stability and consistency of raw material and traded-part quality. • Participate in reliability testing and failure analysis activities to support product reliability improvement. • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including ISO9001, TL9000, ISO14001, ISO45001, and other relevant management system audits. • Promote quality awareness and strengthen quality capability across the organization through training, communication, and process discipline. • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor as required for the position. Education & Experience
• Bachelor ‘s Degree required within Engineering or Quality fields preferred. • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification, or equivalent preferred. • DMAIC green belt certification preferred. • English proficiency, both oral and written. Required Skills. Competencies, or Certification
