The Record-to-Report (R2R) Analyst is responsible for delivering high-quality, end-to-end accounting and reporting services within a Shared Services environment. The role supports timely and accurate period close, balance sheet integrity, compliance with accounting policies, and continuous improvement of R2R processes and controls. The R2R Analyst works closely with Finance Business Partners, FP&A, AP/AR, Tax, Treasury, and auditors to ensure financial results are complete, accurate, and delivered to agreed timelines and service levels. What are we looking for? Technical Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and financial reporting tools. Experience
Relevant years of experience in R2R / General Ledger / Financial Accounting, ideally in a Enterprise Operations or multi-entity environment. Working knowledge of month-end close, journals, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience with ERP systems or ability to learn (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Anaplan or similar). Exposure to audit and controls environments (SOX/internal audit) preferred.
Qualifications
(Preferred) Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or actively studying. Roles and Responsibilities: •Period Close & Financial Reporting Perform month-end/quarter-end/year-end close activities in line with close calendars and SLAs, including: Journal entry preparation, posting, and validation Accruals, prepayments, allocations, and reclassifications Intercompany accounting and reconciliations (as applicable) Fixed asset accounting support (capitalization, depreciation, disposals) Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packs; ensure adherence to accounting policies and reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP/US GAAP as applicable). Balance Sheet Ownership & Reconciliations Own balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring: Completeness, accuracy, and appropriate supporting documentation Timely clearance of aged and reconciling items Root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence Maintain high standards of
