Summary: The Director will oversee a specific segment of spend for J&J Innovative Medicine (IM) Supply Chain focusing on selected suppliers within the External Manufacturing environment for Biotherapeutics and/or Synthetics platforms. This role will require effective collaboration with key stakeholders across Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and various functional teams. We are seeking a knowledgeable leader who will help execute the J&J IM External Manufacturing strategy while supporting the overall goals for financial performance, quality, compliance, and service. This position will lead a team of Sourcing professionals dedicated to developing and maintaining key supplier relationships. The Director will play a pivotal role in coordinating efforts to manage the selected suppliers, refresh and execute category strategy and ensure alignment with J&J IM's objectives. The successful candidate will collaborate with the J&J IM External Manufacturing (EM) Operations Organization to manage external manufacturing supplier relationships, driving ownership of commercial interactions within this focused network. In addition, this role will involve working closely with different functions in Supply Chain and our external manufacturing network to ensure we meet capacity and innovation needs efficiently. The Director will report directly to the Sr Director Global Category Leader EM Responsibilities: Support J&J IM's Vision: Creating a future where disease is a thing of the past. Develop and execute category plans to meet short- and mid-term requirements for IM and create value for J&J including sourcing strategy, negotiations, contract implementation and performance against established targets (Cost drivers, risk analysis, mitigation, analytics, applicability / of category value creation techniques) Manage supplier relationships, communicate changes to category strategy, execute joint collaborative initiatives, and monitor supplier contract negotiations.
