Financial Improvement & Audit Remediation Consultant

Job Family : Finance & Accounting Consulting Travel Required : Up to 10% Clearance Required : Ability to Obtain Public Trust What You Will Do : Providing audit support and remediation activities such as reviewing deficiencies communicated by the auditor, tracking and responding to audit requests, developing corrective action plans, and executing remediation with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting and management financial statement assertions. Evaluating/testing business process internal controls, performing financial statement audits, and providing audit readiness support Supporting management control programs. Conducting entity level controls, risk management, and fraud risk assessments. Day to day responsibilities may include:  Provide program management support throughout the life of the project by developing and implementing an integrated master plan, detailed schedules, and risk mitigation plan, and providing updates on a consistent basis to stakeholders. Support and facilitate meetings and / or briefings, prepare presentations, gather feedback, and present insights. Provide recommendations regarding industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the life of the task order. Develop and implement metrics to measure performance and progress towards strategic goals and communicate that progress. Develop visual representations of data / relationships to convey key information succinctly and unambiguously to diverse audiences. Support the development and/or improvement of analytics and automation tools to operationalize and implement operations solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. What You Will Need : Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, engineering, business analytics or a related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum SEVEN (7) years of experience with project management and/or executive level support with a federal customers/agencies Knowledge of and/or experience with federal financial management activities, including but not limited to federal accounting, financial statement audits, audit readiness, audit remediation, internal control assessment, financial risk management, and other relevant federal information assurance laws, regulations, and guidance. May require up to 2 - 3 days on-site at the Client's office.  Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements. What Would Be Nice To Have : Navy experience Master’s degree. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM). Strong organizational and communication skills. Senior leadership engagement ability to drive change and buy-in across disparate stakeholder groups The annual salary range for this position is $149,000.00-$248,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
