Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Rotating Equipment Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on pipeline pump stations, which includes electric motors, horizontal and vertical single and multi-stage centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, and other mechanical-related equipment, eliminate and report product leaks, seeps and spills, as well as assist with construction projects. The position will maintain qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance. The Rotating Equipment Technician will report directly to the Rotating Equipment Supervisor, and will be based out of Odessa, TX. The position supports the assets in the South Region of the Midstream business unit. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Core duties include oil changes, oil analysis and supply, conditions monitoring, PI/machine health monitoring, vibration monitoring, seal flush filter changes, seal changes, alignment & thrust checks, tubing work, bearing housing alignment, refacing, stuffing box facing, sweeping bores / sweeping faces, bearing changes, overhauls, QA/QC and equipment tracking Primary area of responsibility is pumps and motors, but additional equipment such as air compressors, mixers, engines, generators and blowers may be included in responsibilities Ensuring the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and directives Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests Driving a company owned vehicle within assigned area Diagnosing any problems Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment Performing coupling alignments on rotating equipment Complete pump tear down/rebuild inspections and new pump installations Maintaining current and accurate documentation of maintenance activities Assisting supervisors in changing technology and budget requirements Responding to emergencies and maintaining emergency response preparedness Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary Performing equipment monitoring and maintenance documentation Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration and timely submits appropriate reports Minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative maintenance Maintaining Mechanical and technical administrative records, including prints and project reports Driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility Supervising and directing contract crews Complying with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations, and safety policies and procedures Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training Maintaining all required Operations Qualifications on assigned task Pursuing cost reduction opportunities
