Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position is located out of Grand Sky, ND.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to include in-depth repair as required on powered and non-powered ground support equipment. Review maintenance records of periodic maintenance to ensure equipment is fully operational in support of daily equipment requirements. Use an assortment of basic hand tools in addition to precision measuring devices for troubleshooting and repairs. Work from complex written instructions such as formal test specifications, blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals. May instruct lower-level mechanics in technical aspects of Ground Support equipment work. Exercise appropriate safety measures, and adhere to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety guidelines and regulations Work and communicate over ambient noise Work in a variety of work spaces/positions. Work spaces may include but are not limited to small, enclosed spaces, awkward, and elevated spaces. Positions may include bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, ascending/descending ladders, and/or working overhead Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends We currently offer a 4/10 shift structure working Monday - Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm, with exposure to a wide variety of projects and a very friendly team environment. High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years and/or related experience. Related experience could include but not limited to diesel mechanic, automotive technician, electrical, etc.​ Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business. Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead, and accessing small, confined spaces. Ability to pass a new hire physical.

Experience with pneumatic and small hand tools. Experience specifically with aerospace ground support equipment (flight line GSE, hangar/support equipment, or launch support equipment). Technical/vocational training in mechanics, electronics, or related field. Military experience in GSE, aviation maintenance, or heavy equipment maintenance.
