Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector  is seeking a Sr. Principal Project Management – Level 4 within the Electronics and Payloads Division. This position will support our Eastern Region Engineering Team.  The successful candidate is expected to be a highly motivated, resourceful, self-starter able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams in high-tempo environments. This position will be expected to assist with reviewing status of projects and budgets, resource planning, preparing for and facilitating meetings, and supporting various administrative functions. What You'll Get to Do: Primary focus is supporting the IPT Leads to complete a variety of precise, time-sensitive deliverables Support and follow up on design review closeout Follow up and track PO releases for engineering (non-deliverable) material purchases Maintain monthly check in on hardware design processes across all space programs under Electronics and Payload Division Facilitate internal meetings with necessary stakeholders as required to support hardware/firmware engineering proposal reviews and ensure all inputs are captured and necessary reviews are completed to meet program and company requirements Partner with Mission Systems (MS) to participate in the implementation and use of tools and templates for monitoring the design process. Manage schedules and prepare status reports Support IPT leads to interface with cross-functional departments to secure team staffing Work with external suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements Opportunity to lead a small IRAD project to gain program experience If this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team! Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience in project management, OR Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience in project management Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data Advanced understanding of
