Senior Engineer - Software Development

Whether partnering with IATA on industry-wide initiatives or enabling digital transformation to simplify airline processes, Accelya drives the airline industry forward and proudly puts control back in the hands of airlines so they can move further, faster.   Roles & Responsibilities Software Development ·       Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core. ·       Develop responsive and reusable user interfaces using React and JavaScript. ·       Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Core. ·       Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code following established coding standards and design principles. ·       Work with SQL databases to design queries, stored procedures, database objects, and optimize application data access. ·       Analyze and troubleshoot application issues across frontend, backend, and database layers. ·       Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards. Architecture & Technical Design ·       Contribute to application architecture and technical design decisions. ·       Design scalable and maintainable application components following appropriate design patterns and principles. ·       Identify performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate optimization strategies. ·       Evaluate tech ·       Evaluate technical approaches and recommend solutions based on scalability, maintainability, and performance. ·       Participate in modernization and technology migration initiatives where required. Quality & Engineering Practices ·       Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and maintainability. ·       Investigate defects and production issues and implement effective root-cause fixes. ·       Follow secure coding practices and contribute to application security improvements. ·       Maintain technical documentation for application components and solutions. ·       Collaborate with QA teams to support functional, regression, performance, and integration testing. Collaboration & Leadership ·       Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, Business Analysts, QA and other engineering teams. ·       Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. ·       Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. ·       Conduct and participate in technical and code reviews. ·       Communicate technical issues, solutions, and progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Core — Must Have ·       Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and C#. ·       Strong hands-on experience developing frontend applications using React. ·       Practical experience with AI-assisted software development and prompt engineering, including writing effective prompts for code generation, debugging, code review, documentation, and solution design using AI tools. ·       Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ concepts and modern frontend development practices. ·       Strong experience with SQL and relational databases. ·       Hands-on experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs. ·       Good understanding of web application architecture and client-server communication. ·       Experience with software design principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices. ·       Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and production issue troubleshooting. ·       Good understanding of Git and
