The Opportunity
The HR internship at Smurfit Westrock is designed to provide comprehensive training experiences for emerging human resources professionals. In addition to mentorship and professional development training, interns will have the opportunity to support the HR team with various projects spanning employee relations, compliance, talent management, and more! Program Experience Exposure to key HR focus areas including (but not limited to): Labor Relations, HR Compliance, HRIS Systems, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Succession Planning, Conducting Investigations, and Performance Management. Support HR leaders and teammembersprojects and assignments whichalign the HR strategy with broader business goals and reinforce company culture. Fuel innovation by embracing fresh, diverse thinking and future-ready approaches,preparing our businesses for the evolving workforce and technologies. Receive comprehensive training through a blended model of experience, exposure, and education.The curriculum covers business acumen, professional and leadership development, mentorship access, networking opportunities, and more. Qualifications
Required : Current enrollment or recent completion of a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or another related field Preferred: Current enroll mentor recent completion of a master’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or another related field Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in a long-term HR career Clear communication skills both written and verbal Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively Willingness to work in production/plant locations (non-corporate environments) Relocation flexibility
