For the EY-Parthenon team in Slovakia, we are looking for an experienced Senior professional in M&A who will actively participate in the delivery of mergers and acquisitions advisory projects, support clients in making strategic transaction decisions, and collaborate with business owners, investors, and company management teams. We are seeking an individual who can combine analytical thinking with sound business judgment, independently manage key project responsibilities, coordinate the work of more junior team members, and communicate professionally with clients, business owners, and investors.

Your key responsibilities
What you will do
Participate in the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A projects, from initial analysis and transaction strategy development through due diligence and transaction closing. Independently prepare and review key client deliverables, including information memoranda, teaser documents, management presentations, financial analyses, and decision-making materials. Develop financial models, valuation analyses, market research, and profiles of potential investors or target companies. Coordinate selected project workstreams, collaborate with clients as well as internal and external advisors, and oversee the timely delivery of project milestones. Guide and support junior team members, review their work, and contribute to their professional development. Contribute to the preparation of business proposals, pitches, and market intelligence activities. Monitor market developments, industry trends, and emerging transaction opportunities.
Skills and attributes for success
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting. Hands-on experience in transaction projects and the ability to independently manage assigned workstreams and communicate directly with clients. Strong analytical and financial skills, including the interpretation of financial statements, financial modeling, and company valuation. Ability to prepare clear, compelling, and visually high-quality client materials. Excellent presentation and communication skills in both Slovak and English. Ability to coordinate junior team members, provide constructive feedback, and ensure the quality of deliverables. Proactive and structured approach, client-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; CFA, ACCA, or another relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
