Software Engineering Mgr - Payments & Applications

As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Site Reliability Center, you will be based at one of the following PNC IT Hubs in Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Payments Technology Manager / Payments Application Manager will lead the support, stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of critical payment platforms. This role will be responsible for leading the support, stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of mission-critical payment platforms supporting domestic, international, instant, and digital asset payments. Technology Leadership: • Manage and support enterprise payment applications and integrations. • Lead application support teams responsible for 24x7 production environments. • Oversee application releases, change management, production implementations, and disaster recovery testing. • Establish monitoring, observability, and proactive issue detection capabilities. • Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention. • Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, security, audit, and regulatory requirements. Stakeholder Management: • Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders, payment operations, vendors, and technology teams. • Communicate application health, risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership. • Collaborate with external payment networks, vendors, and clearing organizations.
