The CRES Market Coordinator serves as the primary support resource for Competitive Retail Electric Suppliers (CRES) operating within the Ohio energy market. This role is responsible for researching, analyzing, and resolving supplier issues related to customer enrollments, usage, billing, payments, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. The position works closely with suppliers, internal business units, regulatory agencies, and IT teams to ensure accurate customer account maintenance, compliance with CRES and regulatory requirements, and timely resolution of market-related issues. The CRES Market Coordinator also supports government aggregation activities, supplier payment processing, audit compliance, reporting and analysis, and system enhancement initiatives while fostering strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external market participants. Knowledge of AEP's Customer Information System (MACSS), strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are essential for success in this role.

What you’ll do: Essential Job Functions & Tasks The CRES Market Coordinator provides first-level support to Competitive Retail Electric Suppliers (Providers) in the Ohio market. Review, analyze, and resolve CRES provider issues and requests by taking corrective action or coordinating with internal AEP resources to ensure timely resolution. Investigate and resolve provider issues related to enrollment, usage, and payment EDI transactions using , MACSS, and AEP Clearinghouse (AEPCH) data. Ensure customer accounts are accurately maintained with the correct billing tariff and provider assignment to support compliance with CRES rules and accurate customer billing. Establish and maintain collaborative relationship with other AEP departments to provide efficient and effective issue resolution. Assist with resolving complaints filed with the Public Utility Commission of Ohio (PUCO). Assist with the completion of Government Aggregation request for premise lists. Establish a close working relationship and network with other departments and Market participants to be efficient and effective at issue resolution. Collaborate with IT on Choice projects and testing enhancements or new applications. Assure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and quarterly audits. Analyze revenue-related reports. Route supplier payments for daily approval using PeopleSoft Financial Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of AEP’s Customer Information System (MACSS) along with proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Data Compensation Grade: SP20-005 Compensation Range: $63,496.00 - $79,369.00 The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
