Summary: At The Coca‑Cola Company, we refresh the world and make a difference. Our packaging teams ensure that every product leaving our Auburndale, FL facility meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. As a Packaging Operator, you’ll operate and maintain automated equipment, support production changeovers, and help deliver the beverages consumers enjoy every day. We’re looking for detail-oriented, mechanically skilled team players who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do for Us Execute packaging operations according to established manufacturing standards to maintain consistent line performance and quality outputs. Set up, operate, and monitor automated packaging equipment including case packers, palletizers, and related systems to ensure reliable and efficient performance. Perform timely changeovers by adjusting conveyors, guides, and programmable logic controls for different package sizes and product specifications. Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with product integrity and labeling requirements. Complete package integrity testing and monitor for defects such as misapplied closures, incorrect codes, or damaged containers, escalating issues as needed. Assist material handling by supporting forklift drivers with pallet and stretch-wrapper adjustments and resolving lower-level material flow challenges. Maintain accurate reporting through data entry on production systems, terminals, and operator interface screens during operations and changeovers. Identify equipment anomalies or process deviations, troubleshoot to minimize downtime, and partner with maintenance and production teams to resolve recurring issues. Clean and sanitize production lines and work areas to uphold food safety and environmental standards, including proper disposal of production waste. Adhere to all safety practices, lock-out/tag-out protocols, and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe production environment. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment. Demonstrated ability to work safely and exceed expectations in reliability, teamwork, and quality performance. Experience operating and maintaining automated production or packaging equipment, including mechanical and control systems. High mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine sequencing, programmable controls, and troubleshooting processes. Physical capability to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and communicating technical instructions and safety guidelines in English. Valid forklift certification with the ability to safely operate forklift equipment in a production environment. Availability to work an 12-hour shift schedule, including overtime and flexible shifts as business needs require. Comfort using production data systems and human-machine interface tools for monitoring and reporting purposes. What We’ll Do for You Provide hands-on experience with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology in a facility committed to operational excellence. Offer skill-building opportunities through cross-training in packaging systems, safety protocols, and quality testing techniques. Enable career growth through exposure to digital tools, continuous improvement processes, and sustainable production practices.
