WHO YOU ARE
You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 You are curious about financial markets and interested in learning more about the financial services industry You have proven analytical, data interpretation, problem-solving, critical and strategic thinking skills through coursework and/or previous internship experience You have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through projects and extracurricular involvement WHAT YOU’LL DO As an intern at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to spend ten weeks working on meaningful projects, developing relevant skills to jump start your career while joining our inclusive and relational culture. You will work directly with your team on day-to-day tasks with weekly program events to work on new skills, network with senior leaders and socialize as an intern community. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best team placement given your interests, skill set and relevant experience. The Program: Ten weeks Located in Chicago, IL PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES: Professional development workshops Lunch & Learns with Leadership Intern Cross-Functional Project Presentation Intern volunteer event Social events Ongoing learnings at enterprise-wide level Mentorship and networking opportunities WHAT YOU'LL GAIN: Work on analytical research of market related topics Assist in preparation of investment reviews for clients Create sales and marketing campaigns to drive new business SAMPLE FUTURE CAREER PATHS/TRACKS: Wealth Management Analyst in one of a variety of areas including Wealth Advisory, Global Family and Private Investment Office, and more as part of our Analyst Development Program (ADP).
Salary Range
Salary is $30.00 USD per hour. Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
