Labcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in 13112 Evening Creek Drive South San Diego, CA 92128 Work Schedule : Tuesday through Saturday 12:00 pm-8:30 pm, additional days and hours, rotating on call coverage may be required Job Responsibilities: In this position you will provide facility maintenance of laboratory and office areas General facility maintenance services common duties include changing and replacing light bulbs, moving furniture for room setup and tear down, carpet repair, light painting and preventive maintenance Perform adjustments, repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of laboratory and office equipment Respond as needed to request from internal customers following established practices, updates and tracks orders through maintenance software tracking Use a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments Ensure that facilities are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and compliant with safety standards Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs Collect and document lab waste including halogenated & non-halogenated solvents, infectious waste and other products requiring controlled disposal Perform other required tasks as assigned Travel to additional sites Patient service centers to perform minor repairs when is needed Minimum Qualifications: 1 year or more of experience in building maintenance or a related discipline 3 years or more of experience in other professional or technical roles Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma Vocational training or certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or related field 3 years or more experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or construction trades Prior experience as General handyman or construction/engineering exposure 1 year or more of experience with warehouse equipment such as a forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack sand MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) Additional Job Standards: Flexible to work overtime as needed Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and prioritizing tasks effectively Computer skills including ability to manage electronic work order tickets Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Be at least 21 years of age Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50lbs At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
