Job Summary
Trane in Fishers, Indiana is hiring a Sales Specialist to join the team. You will be working closely with our contractors, systems sales engineers, and estimators. Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for routine project documentation, materials, status monitoring, and administrative closeout of each project. Typically requires strong understanding of financial information.
What you will do
Responsible for general administrative functions to support the Sales process. Responsible for issuing purchase orders and reconciling purchase order issues for enabling. Process documents for service claims sales allowances, retrofit, and labor warranty. Communicates effectively with other team members concerning project management process. Pulls job credit number and assist with credit supplement processing. Obtains Trane and vendor estimated ship dates and update appropriate schedules. Assists with communication to customers regarding shipping updates. Forwards warranty standard documents to customers. Manages receipt of installation operation and maintenance manuals (IOMs). Distributes IOM’s to customers. Assists with distribution and receipt of submittals. Responsible for general administrative functions to support the equipment fulfillment process. Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff. Compares estimated ship dates with contractors project schedule. Ensures compliance with internal equipment ordering processes. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion. Controls expenses by monitoring assigned project budget. Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials and approving payments. Responsible for entering equipment orders and issuing purchase orders for vendor orders. Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff. Responsible for project cash-flow management Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
What you will bring
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology with a minimum of three years’ experience ; or equivalent combination of work experience. Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
